That's the new ATI Series, it's on par if not a little be more powerful than the 7970. I like my ATI's but a Nvidia Fan may say something different !!

Mmmm in some tasks yes and in others no !
Myself would be happy with a 7970 for my lad I'm getting him a crossfire mobo so then I can get him another 7850 2GB for his birthday to crossfire with his other one so can do triple montiors.
Have a read of this, It's mainly for Triple screen performance but you can see the FPS etc on BF3 with crossfire, SLi and single GPU.

Hello lads,
well I crumbled and built another rig for this game.
Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in!!
I didn't have much money though so it's a budget rig, saying that I've never had an high spec rig anyway.
So I settled for :
AMD FX 6350 3.9Ghz 6 core cpu
XFX HD Radeon 7950 3GHZ
8G corsair vengeance 1600 ram
Sandisk 128 SSD
With a few other bits came to about £550
All inside a silverstone case which I thought was big enough but really isn't. Its a tight squeeze in there. Especially the 7950 I can't believe how big it is.
So hope to see you all in game soon. And glad your all still going. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="

Long time no see I, hows that machine run on BF4 ? Gaf Settings ? if it runs good i may do a cheap upgrade from my old Q6600 !!
Looking at a 6300 for the Lad cause its about £20 cheaper along with a new mobo and some memory for him for Xmas. what SSD did you get as well ?

Hello A, I was going for the 6300 but when I got to scan it wasn't in stock then late last night it was showing in stock again 
IEverything is running smooth and all on ultra settings np.
I got this SSD http://www.scan.co.uk/products/128gb-sa ... -8000-iops
never had one so it is working excellent from what I'm use to. Windows boots up in about 12
seconds to desktop. Well worth it. The 7950 is a massive card make sure you've got room as I had shoe horn my in. Well almost!!
