BF2 - pause at 'Verifying Client Data'.

Both the BF2 demo, then the full game loaded OK for the first few weeks. But now after loading it pauses at 'Verifying Client Data' for anything up to 10 minutes. I've tried using a different firewall, and re-installing the game but no joy. Happens on many servers and both Demo and full game.
PC is average spec, 1 meg connection. But I'm sure it's not to do with spec as my friend has slightly lower spec but is always in the game waiting for me.

who is your isp provider AOL if so that could be the problem

It's BT, with a 1.1 Meg connection.

Ive got 512 line so your shouldnt be prob.

I have 2 firewalls and dont have a problem. If it is your firewall check your security levels and maybe drop it down a notch or 2.

If its your machine.............. upgrade it allready

Make sure you maintain regulaly and theres no spyware/viruses/dialers from all porn sites youve visited slowing you down

Come on guys, I thought someone could help with this one. Re-installed game, and installed different firewall - no joy.
Frined of a friend had exactly the same prob with a different game - tried everthing and prob eventually went but he doesn't know why.
Sometimes I join game then am immediately kicked for no activity!!! This is getting stupid.
