BF2 Vehicle Position

What are the Z's like? Was looking at one the other night & couldn't decide whether to fork out or not.

One of the overlooked features of the Z-Board is its ability to detect more simultaneous keypresses than a normal keyboard. I think the normal max is 3 buttons down at once before it ignores any others, while with the Z-Board you get at least twice that (dont have the specs handy to give exact numbers here, sorry), which is useful when you've got 3 buttons pressed down for various functions and need to press a fourth.

I get some problems changing layouts on mine, every once in a while it decides to freeze up but nothing a quick pull and replug of the USB cable doesnt fix. Also nice to have the mouse plugged into the board rather than 2 seperate cables to the back of the PC (only saves one cable but with the mess I have every little helps)

Got the Standard, Gaming, BF2, MOH Pacific Assault, and World of Warcraft keysets, and usually end up using the Gaming set for anything thats WSAD-driven. Haven't had any problems with the standard set for normal typing either.

One little note, if you go to their website for drivers make sure you get the UK-specific ones. I put the US ones in and it killed it until I could remove and reinstall them

Dont think Z-boards would be that bad if you could just buy one keyset to your required layout and customise the actions yourself, but as that would mean peeps only buying one set instead 2,3,4,5 or however many i cant see z-board agreeing to summet like that and losing money. <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt="" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

But yeah can see where being able to use more than 3 keys at once could come in handy.

i had a few probs with the jump/parachute key... in that u jumped but it didnt parachute.. u ended up like a skydiver doin a base jump whilst fumbling for the 9 key before u died


i dl the drivers off the webby and applied the bf2 kernal patch from z board and now it works sweet as..


anyone has any probs let me know reckon i got this baby sorted now
