The Geforce 7950 gx2 card which both _B and myself have are pretty fecking good, it sorted out the compatibility issues I was having setting up an sli configuration, by having both cards wired together as one (nice).
Like you've already said _A new cards are old by the time their released, so I'll wait for Crysis and see what cards are released just after. I've read that our cards will be fine for Crysis although I want to change my AMD 4000+ to a FX60 (if I can get one at the right price) and that should be enough.
Save your bouns m8 and wait for its release before upgrading your system, thats what I'm going to do.

I've always preferred Nvidia over ATI, its just personnal taste both ATI and Nv have cards capable of exactly the same thing.
I'm more than happy with my new 8800GTX altho there isn't much that actually use's its full power.
I use to enjoy upgrading my PC but as you said with products being old even before there released i now will only upgrade after about two years and only when absolutely needed.
I dont dislike ATI cards, cos to be fair i have only had 2 ATI cards and both were very old and a few years ago. The reason i like Nvidia is the Nview options and Nvidia Control panel make multi-screen tasking extremely easy and the cards are easily overclockable.
