what do ya make of the multiplayer?

I've been playing the MP for 6 hours or so, and its not that bad. If you get a good host you dont see any lagg. Admittedly however i have joined some servers which are laggy as fcuk.

The perks are good, the kill streak perks are good and the weapons are excellent (got my p90) Maps are good too and there are about 12 different MP game modes.You can just have a server with your steam friends, or anyone. And theres a 2 player special forces section to the single player which is also fun.

But I did get it off a m8 , I wasnt going to buy it, because of the Dedi file situtation, I hope that changes and the rest of you FcUkers can join me. About 6 DNK have also got it and had a few rounds with them, but I just tend to jon any server in a chosen game mode and give abuse. The ranking system only works if you join ramdomly (i.e not steam friends) which is a definate advanced as some of the perks at higher grades are nuts. running around with twin p90's doesnt seem fair but is good fun

I couldn't not buy it after being away for so long without any gaming at all apart from Red Alert (the original) on my netbook.

I reckon the MP is very good. It's a very nice looking game, and the gameplay is spot on. There's one or two niggles, like not being able to lean round corners but the depth in weapons etc makes up for this. The maps are very good - excellent detail and the right size for the smaller number of players.

The death streak help is very good - if your getting a pasting then little things start kicking in to help you out. I'm yet to get a decent kill streak but have been on the receiving end of them.

If anything, people need to dry their eyes about the dedicated servers. Yes it's an issue, but it's a damn good game IMHO.
