Person view; keep it first person! This seems to be the consensus throughout the community without a doubt. If we look at the press release closely I think we’ll see that we may not have much to worry about, hopefully .
Weapon view; None! Although there seems to be a sizable crowd that would prefer weapon view it’s nowhere near the majority. Most want to see only the reticule.
Maps; Plenty and spacious. Majority wants to see the type of maps that GR is known for. CQB maps have there place but most want the spacious maps we’ve all become accustom to, at least a nice balance. There’s already RvS for those that just have to have CQB maps.
Jumping; absolutely NO bunny hopping type game play.
Weapons:
Balance, balance, balance. The majority would like to see kits make the move back to the pre-IT release. No more unbalanced teams with everyone carrying OICW/censors or MM1.
Many request for new weapons kits.
Grenade tossing; there are those that became talented with tossing, post IT, but there needs to be a reversal in the Links®2003 golf swing type activation.
Multiplayer/Server environment:
A small part of the overall community but a huge part on the success of the game are server admins. If there aren’t enough servers with enough options for the players then the community suffers. There are a lot of great ideas on the boards but I’ve only included the hottest of topics.
Cheat control; above all this seems to be the hottest topic around. Give the community the best possible support for keeping cheaters out of the game.
Replays; this ties right in with the previous item as replays were the one thing players could rely on to tell the truth. Seems to be a large group wanting client side replays too. Take what we have now in the form of replays and beef it up.
Ban; easy and efficient banning abilities. If possible, client filtering with several rules.
Dedicated; make a truly dedicated server. One that can be downloaded and ran easily with the option for advanced control plus remote access.
Admin; keep the in-game admin panel but expand on the options without making things difficult.
Teams; better control of teams and options.
