DVD drive help

ya know Gary i bought an external DVD re-writer plugs into a USB port no problems at all did not even have to install any software as they say Plug 'n' Play m8

I had exactly the same problem with my old pc.
I`ve tried everything possible but nothing seemed to work.
That is; I sold that pc (with the crooky dvd-drive) to my brother and erased my HDs before putting Windows-XP and SP2 back up again. To my big suprise; the crooky dvd-writer worked like a charm after that.

ok thx guys, the drive seems to work perfectly, still shows it as a cd-rw when i put a blank dvd in but i dont give a toss as long as it works properly
