Movie Sig Tutorial was created by Sheepy
Due to everyone wanting movie sigs heres how to make them (just incase _U doesnt want to make them for ya)
This is how I do it, its bit of long way round but due to changes in some of the software used it needs to be done, but atleast it means you get your own individual movie you want. Im trusting that everyone knows the basics of the software used (as i cant be arsed making a pic tutorial pointing things out, though i may if requested)
[u:37zc49xy]Tools[/u:37zc49xy]
Quicktime (not used but need it installed)
Fraps (full version ya cheapskates, trial version sucks)
Jasc Animation Shop (bundled in with paintshop pro, sure someone will send you it if you msn them )
ImageReady (7.0 preferably, bundled with photoshop 7.0)
Photoshop (7.0 preferably, sure someone has cracked copy of this too )
[u:37zc49xy]Capturing Movie[/u:37zc49xy]
1.Open Fraps, set movie hotkey (a key not used ingame)
2.Start playing your game and press hotkey to start recording, then press hotkey again to stop recording.
3.Your film is now captured, easy so far
[u:37zc49xy]Editing Capture[/u:37zc49xy]
4.Start Jasc Animation Shop
5.Open your capture
6.Crop your picture to take out any unecessary edges, delete unwanted frames
7.Resize your film (usually between 75 - 120 pixels)
8.If using more than 1 capture repeat steps 5 - 7, then copy and paste captures together
9.Once satisfied with your edited capture save file as .avi uncompressed (although capture is originally .avi its in a .avi format unrecognisable by imageready
[u:37zc49xy]Further Editing[/u:37zc49xy]
10.Start ImageReady
11.Open your edited capture
12.Check the play speed of your animation to ensure it isn't running too slow/fast, and adjust if needs be.
13.Click the jump to photoshop button
14.Once in photoshop resize canvas ( width= 400-500 height= height of movie + 10-30 pixels)
15.Link all frames together
16.Click the move tool and position your movie where you want it.
17.If you want your movie at an angle, Edit-Transform-Rotate, then rotate as required
18.Create a new layer and put below the movie layers, use this layer to create the sig background (colour, add pic as you wish)
19.Add text (ensure any new layers remain below movie layers)
20.If you want a border round the outside of your sig create this layer at the top of all layers.
[u:37zc49xy]Border/frame round movie[/u:37zc49xy]
21.Make a new layer, below the movie layers but above other layers
22.Use Polygonal lasso tool, make a square around the edge of the movie, overlap the border of the movie clip by a fraction
23.From menu Select-Modify-Expand 6-10 pixels
24.Using paint bucket tool, fill the selected area with the colour of your choice.
25.Select-Modify-Contract Same amount as you expanded by..... Press delete.
26.Choose your blending options
27.Once happy with your sig press the jump to ImageReady button
28.When back in ImageReady check your sig and adjust animation speed if needs be
29.From menu File-Save optimized as (yoursig.gif, make sure you [u:37zc49xy]Save optimized as[/u:37zc49xy] and not Save as!!!)
30.Jobs a good un, Bobs yer uncle, Sheepy's yer daddy and he's after your mommy
Hope this is helpfull for some peeps, I know what I am on about as this is way I do it but I'm sure if your not familiar with the software used it'll mean fcuk all to ya (in which case I will do the picture tutorial if asked nicely)
P.S You then ask site admin to get it working for ya
