I’m not actually a campaigner although I am grateful for the help they gave my missus. Perhaps I should admit that I am a casual recreational user, which means that bud buddies don’t and won’t do anything for me. As I am a novice to pc’s, bf2, the internet and forums, my girlfriend used these links as examples while trying to educate me in the ways of the computer. It is testament to the power of bf2 that I’m taking an interest in this electrical witchcraft at all! (in the few months of installing bf2 I have gained a basic understanding of pings, hops, firewalls and ports etc.). I am more concerned with not annoying you all with constant petty questions, e.g. can I get onto your server and how? and what are the implications of joining a clan? If these links cause any concern at all I will have them removed asap as I have other avatars/signatures to play with and I must say the footie badges look the business.

let me help expand your knowledge further....................

Pings - go with pongs and accumulate to form a rally in table tennis
Hops - used to make beer, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm beer.
Firewalls - Used by crazy stunt people to drive through for the adoration of fans.
Ports - Large water places used for parking your boat up. Coastal garages if you will.
