Mobo/Boot Issues

Ok, my pc has been on the blink for a few days, and i have been trying to get it to work for a few days now, but i gave up last night when it went back to the way it was before i started fiddling.

It started a few weeks ago, when the i was getting bsd and memory dump errors, then the pc just shut down the other day, and i have been having issues booting it ever since, it boots 1 out of every 5 starts, it goes through the memory check, then the harddrive test, then hangs..... on the occasion it boots, i can run small programs, but if i start a game it just shuts down on me!

Help?!

If its not an over temp on a sensor (as _A suggests), it could be a dodgy stick of ram, you could try the old one stick at a time route, and try boot up from a hirens cd an do a ram test or summart.
