Patch 1.6 problem

Have done a new install of BF1942 and downloaded the 256Mb patch - and guess what it crashes my PC - don't even get the EA screen - just black - anyhelp PLEASE!!! <!-- s:oops: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_redface.gif" alt="" title="Embarassed" /><!-- s:oops: -->

Do I have to have the expansion disks installed too??

ok m8 as far as i know ya need the following

battlefield patch 1.6

desertcombat mod 541mb version 5

desertcombat patch .6L

im sure this is wat ive got installed and runs ok m8
ive just read up R and battlefield desertcombat mod is only for patch 1.5 NOT 1.6 so this may be causing problem m8 ok

well amte i get slightly further than that, I get into the game and start loading a map up (single player and multiplayer) and i get the BSOD and it restarts my machine. Sometimes it will go into the game but more oftern than not it will crash

Uninstall everything.

Reinstall BF1942 from CD.
Download and Install the FULL 1.6 Patch from <!-- w --> www.battlefield1942.com <!-- w --> (274MB)

Download and Install DC .5L from FilePlanet.com (544MB)

Download and Install DC .6f PATCH from FilePlanet.com (234MB)

further to the last post, you might need the following menu.rfa patch for 1.6 in DC mode...if indeed you do manage a successful install and find you have no in-game menu/scoreboard. (only in DC)

ok R same thing happened to me m8, wot i did is i alt+tabbed out, pressed ctrl alt and delete and notice since i launched it, it conflicted with TS, so end program on TS then reopen TS (without closing game) and it should work fine m8,
