work does send me to the exotic locations
try the self boasting "worlds best chip barm" that I can't comment coz I never had a chip barm in Iraq for instance , but the staff look like the might have,
or pop into morrisons who do a good range of food , I opted for the Chicken in real gravy pie, very tasty indeed , wondered what they used b4 real gravy tho,
the baths have dissappeared, some kind of hydrophobia amongst the locals, but there is a skate park you can watch delinquents fall over without the aid of alcohol
would have had a sit down meal but place was full of oap's apparently they do meal deals for them 4 can eat fish an chips for less than a tenner......
it was like an audition for Cocoon 3........
two good things that do come out of Bolton ( bull-tun )
36 and 68 bus, to manchester,
excellent train service , you can be in paradise in 20 mins........
don't go on the A 666 , aptly named........
shall be passing through a lot now but to be honest theres nowt worth stealing...

a week in Wigan.................
quite a good night life...
apparently the females outnumber the males here , and visually it does seem that way but maybe the male population are far less tollerant than the rest and bugger off at first available opportunity...
the best thing is that here its very friendly and they feed you well and you can indulge in drinking without sticking out like Frank Gallagher ,
like myself if you want to be ignored or treated like you got swine flu , just wear a suit.
opt for a local speciallity " the Wigan Kebab " thats a pie on a barm to me and you, but to be honest its a muffin for me , but what an ice breaker, and yet to see a mushy pea advert in sight...
visit Wigan in the evening and don,t be surprised if your still there in the morning........[/img]

a week in Clitheroe..............
[/img]
in the ribble valley north of blackburn, is Clitheroe a bristling market town steeped in tradition with it's own 800 year old castle,
only 45 miles from Paradise but another world, what struck me was how pleasant the locals were, visitors are welcome to join in their way of life, situated witin a 3 mile radius is a cricket field, bowling green and a golf course and all will stop their game to give you a wave .
food and wine is of a very high standard here,
a place I could count down the hours mingle with the locals and feast on their offerings ,
the only negative is that you have to pass through Darwin which is the opposite of the above,
charles Darwin Origin of the species, that man is a descendant of the apes,is truly evident in his namesake, and was a brilliant masterpiece , having written 150 years ago, but unfortunately not here to see the devolvement of man , as I have recently....
I shall return to Clitheroe without hesitation..with a spell book just in case...

a week in Huddersfield...............
[/img]
This is a Railway Station
a grade one listed building and described by John Betjman as " The most splendid station facade in England" and I am in agreement, The Victorians over indulged in building structures , and we are ever so grateful, they were and still are the romans of England , if they built it , they built it to be adored by centuries,
unlike Bellway..................
very busy market town and was the tenth largest in England,
birthplace of Harold Wilson and Rugby League,
recently undergoing a £1 million makeover , not in 60 minutes been going on for quite some time, thats probably £800,000 in wages then.............
But for all its Beauty and architecture - it,s situated in west Yorkshire............
once landlords of middle England , least we forget, us lancastrians make better tenants,
after we annaihalated you in the bloodiest battle on English soil, the War of the Roses , least we forget,
since then you been getting your arses kicked time and time again, especially in sport..
