Just managed to screw up the HDD on my "work" PC, hours of writing and web design down the drain 
Drive just clicks strangely when the BIOS tries to detect it... Any ideas?

I messed mine up and lost 200gb worth but i refused to pay £600 for someone to do it for me so left it for a few months then gave ti ago and got it working again !! But as for damaged Disc's i don't think much you can do by buying some data recovery software or get someone to do it for you.
Does the BIOS see the drive ?

BIOS IDs the model then sits there while the drive clicks... leave it long enough and it goes through but just refuses to boot off it. Can recreate everything that was on there given time (mostly my new web store and some fcukin flash animation I was working on ) so not gonna pay some sod twice what it'll cost of my own time to do it

i would get a new small hdd 30 /40gig load windows on it have the drive thats gone as slave and see if you can view the stuff thats on it ...but it sounds as its fcuked to me
