a suprisingly noobish question. was created by jimjimjim
Basically on my old computer back home I have been starting to get lag etc. And i suddenly thought, if I make an alternate User on Windows, because my current profile is overloaded with stuff and make one devoted to games which has no other programs that are not needed while gaming will games have a better frame rate etc.?

Mmmm Doubt that will make much difference because you will have all the process's running in the background still.
I have 2 drives a 74gb Raptor for my OS, Apps and Games and a 500gb WDC for my downloads and shite, Reformatted a few weeks ago and was like a bullet loading but when you start putting apps and games on it will slow down loading up but still runs much better overall.
