Lol , bit of a joke m8, iain't got a foot spa, but my modem is gobbling up most of the USB bandwidth so I have trouble using my cam, midi controller etc, I just wanna know if I can reduce it or do I just have to keep unpluging the modem??

I know, Bummer. But when i try to connect the web cam I get a message saying that there is not enough bandwidth available??, and when I check it says the modem is using 75% of the bandwidth, is this normal?

Your usb port should handle 480 mbps, so your modem taking 75% of this would add up to a 360 mbps connection. That doesnt sound right, maybe you have problems with the driver-stack for your usb-controller?

Unless your using USB 1.1 that is about 11 mbps, and 75% of this would be 8,2 mbps line, but that would be on a max download all the time, so it still doesnt sound right.

Try reinstalling the drivers for your usb-controller, or alternatively, try to use a different USB-port. I know this sounds... rather fishy, but on my old comp (usb 1.1) i had to use port nr.1 for data-sensetive devices (soundcard, mp3-players for transferes and so on), while using the port nr. 2 for power-consuming devices (rumle in my headphones) and port three for my mouse. Or else the soundcard wouldnt work. <!-- s8O --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt="8O" title="Shocked" /><!-- s8O -->

-Boom

Thumbs up for USB!
