laptop

after a laptop for me m8, wants to spend £700 prolly go a bit higher,
something he can play games on.
anyone seen any good deals?

i recon he'll go a grand as for gaming the latest possible for that kind of money i guess

been looking at the alienware an the XPS but think hell to spend more l;ike 1200

Only problem with gaming laptops is you'll get a laptop-specific version of the graphics card. Will probably run 80-90% of the same games as the desktop version but most games are marked as "unsuitable for laptops" to cover themselves when they don't work.

Is also a lot of money to spend on something you can't upgrade in a years time when it needs a new graphics card.

Depends on the games running on it of course... If its just for older games theres no problem. If he wants to run Crysis he might be in for a disappointment.
