Do i have router problems?

Ok guys ill put this as simply as i can

Yesterday we were upgraded from 10mb to 20mb connection with my isp ,but since then i have major issues with my router
When i connect to internet though router i have to click refrest about 4-5 times to connect to internet.Without router no problems at all...the wifes pc is also having same problem

Also when i tried to get servers up on cod 4 i was getting none up but without router no problem ..also the mrs has same problem with connecting to WOW and lord of the rings servers

So my question is ..Is my router on the fritz its a netgear RP614 and had it about 6-7 years
Or is there a possability that the router cant handle the 20 mb connection now

Well went down town today and got a new 1
The guy there agreed it was probably my router and the fact that i had been upgraded to 20 mb connection could be the problem

He said the router i have is old and when i got mine the best connection availablke at that time was 2mb so maybe couldnt handle the 20mb

Got a new pluscom router made for virgin and ntl cable and seems to have solved the problem

The wife wouldnt wait to get 1 on ebay and neither could i lol
I would miss my deliveries of C4 and my camping costumers wouldnt like it
