Ground Branch from Blackfoot Studios

Hello guys, how you all doing? I wanted to drop by and tell you something about a new game which is currently in development.

The game, which is called Ground Branch, is made by a new studio Blackfoot Studios (BFS) which is founded by John Sonedecker, he has worked in the industry on the Rainbow Six series (the first installment till Urban Operations expansion) and the Ghost Recon series (the first till Island Thunder expansion). He wants to fill the gap that is currently in the tactical gaming market. BFS thinks that the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon series went down hill and too arcady in their last installments and that's where Ground Branch comes in

One very special thing is their mantra: "Do not build your community around a game, build your game around a community". And that's what they are doing. Right now everything you can think off is being discussed in the forums, and it's actually read by the people in charge. We're discussing any type of options, what we would like to see as a community, we're actually giving input so that the game will be how we want it to be. Plus the value of modding capabilities is one of the top priorities and many modders from the old school community are already putting their hopes into Ground Branch.

Every month or 2 they're releasing Newsletters with information about aspects of the game and a community Q&A section. The first issue can be downloaded here as an unregistered member. For the newer issues and the image teaser section and other things you'll have to be registered at their forums though .

Anyway, I think it's great to be a part of this exciting project and I hope some of you will be too

Well, we don't have CoD4 I do have it on single player but not from the shop... I don't think it's worth the money atm, maybe when there are tactical mods released or something. (I haven't tried it online but I talked with tactical players who had the game about it, too much run 'n' gun)

I'm seriously considering buying CoD4 for MP... What I would like is a realistic multiplayer experience, with time to get know the players in the server via chat (like RvS), no respawns and slow battle's without any fake gadgets and bonuses.

My question is: does the Hardcore mode provide this? Because I hear mixed things about the realism servers.

Otherwise I'll pass till there is a mod or something which makes it more realistic....
