yeah it's definitely a lot. But it's for the actual development of the game and finishing it. It's not for starting a studio and building an alpha to get investors (like project Takedown for example).

Luckily Kickstarter is all or nothing, so even if you don't think they will reach their goal, but do want to chip in, there is no risk. If the goal is not met nobody pays.

The footage is even in pre-alpha status. I'm following them closely on the forums, and really nothing is near finished state at all. But already looks good, all the basic ground work is there and they just need to move from there.
