I've got hold of BF2!! (but it doesn't work)

same sort of problem it has installed on pc get the option up i.e play ,read me ,play on line ect but can not get game to start

The good news is I've got it installed again. Bad news is that after updating all my drivers and patching BF2, it still crashes after the first splash screen. Same happens for both single and multiplayer. I would probably understand if it wasn't for the fact that I can play the demo with relative ease on this machine.

I'm gonna try a fresh install of Windows soon and if that doesn't help, I don't know what will. There is no reason for it not to work.
