I've got hold of BF2!! (but it doesn't work)

GRUMBLE!! Loved the demo so invested in the full game. Not only have I had problems installing the game but it won't play neither! It just crashes after the first splash screen. Anyone heard of this? Please tell me there's a simple trick and all is solved!! If I get it sorted, I'll be on the server.

ATi Radeon 9600 256mb
Enough HD space
8 speed DVD rom drive
And as of recently, updated drivers for everything!! I haven't tried it with the newly installed drivers but thats coz it won't install.

i would recommend newest DNA drivers

The error basically says something along the lines of "Installation failed, please try again from the beginning". It's not a DVD issue as I've copied the DVD and tried to install from my HD. It's something to do with my PC. Dunno what though. Even tried it with a friends copy and it did the same.
